M/Y Damai II is a 40-metre luxury liveaboard designed to deliver highly personalised diving expeditions throughout the Indonesian archipelago. Built in Tanjung Bira, South Sulawesi, in 2011, she was created by respected master boatbuilder Pak Hadji Baso, who also constructed her sister vessel, Damai I.
With a generous nine-metre beam, Damai II provides an exceptional amount of space for a vessel accommodating just 12 guests on most journeys. Three expansive outdoor decks include an open-air dining area, dedicated massage and spa facilities, and plenty of shaded and sunny space for lounging between dives. Satellite Wi-Fi provides additional connectivity when local coverage and operating conditions permit.
The spacious cabins have been designed for flexible single or twin occupancy. Measuring approximately 20 square metres, each features a queen-size bed, separate daybed, quality furnishings and a private ensuite bathroom with separate shower and toilet facilities.
At the stern, the exceptionally generous staterooms offer more than 40 square metres of private living space. Each includes a super-king-size bed, daybeds, two desks and its own terrace with loungers—creating a peaceful private retreat with uninterrupted views across the Indonesian seascape.
Damai II maintains an impressive service ratio, with 18 crew members caring for 12 guests. Diving is supported by three dive guides and one instructor, allowing groups to remain small at approximately four divers per guide. Selected private charters may accommodate up to 14 guests.
The large dive station offers generous preparation space and wide individual rinse tanks. Underwater photographers benefit from a spacious, big-rig-friendly camera room designed for the preparation, charging and maintenance of sophisticated equipment. Two custom-built high-speed tenders provide comfortable and efficient access to remote dive sites.
Equipped with modern diving, navigation and safety systems, Damai II combines traditional Indonesian craftsmanship with exceptional space and attentive service. From personalised underwater exploration to spa treatments and quiet moments on a private terrace, she offers a sophisticated way to discover Indonesia above and below the surface.
