Teman is a 36-metre traditional Indonesian Phinisi offering intimate diving and adventure cruises for up to 12 guests. Built from wood and shaped by Indonesia’s maritime traditions, she combines the character of a classic sailing vessel with the comfort and practical facilities required for extended journeys through the archipelago.
Accommodation is provided in five spacious cabins, including three double and two triple cabins. Each has a private ensuite bathroom with a hot shower, individually controlled air conditioning, storage space and portholes that bring natural light into the room.
Life aboard Teman centres around her generous outdoor spaces. The large covered dining and social area provides a welcoming setting for meals and relaxed evenings, while the sun decks feature both shaded and open areas with loungers and beanbags. Guests can find a quiet place to enjoy the sea breeze, stretch out in the sunshine or simply watch Indonesia’s spectacular scenery pass by.
Freshly prepared food is an important part of the experience. The onboard chef serves a varied selection of home-cooked Indonesian and Western dishes, with dietary requirements accommodated wherever possible. Freshly baked bread, pastries and cakes add an especially welcoming touch throughout the journey.
With around two decades of experience sailing through Indonesia, Teman is supported by a knowledgeable crew of ten in addition to the Cruise Director. Seasonal itineraries explore celebrated diving regions such as Raja Ampat and Komodo, including Misool, Wayag, the Dampier Strait, Batu Bolong, Makassar Reef and Castle Rock. Expedition cruises may also venture farther afield to the Banda Sea, Triton Bay, Sulawesi and Halmahera.
Combining traditional craftsmanship, personal service and an extensive cruising range, Teman offers a relaxed and authentic way to discover Indonesia’s remarkable reefs, islands and remote seascapes.
