Scubaspa Yang is a 50-metre luxury liveaboard designed for guests who want to experience the Maldives through diving, wellness and relaxation. Sister vessel to Scubaspa Yin, she offers an award-winning combination of sophisticated accommodation, professional dive operations and extensive resort-style facilities.
Up to 36 guests are accommodated in 17 spacious cabins and suites, while the number of participating divers is limited to a maximum of 26. The accommodation includes eight Sea Star Cabins, one Cowrie Suite, three Dolphin Suites and five Manta Suites. One cabin and one suite can be converted for triple occupancy when required.
Every cabin features individually controlled air conditioning and a private ensuite bathroom. The eight suites on the main deck also offer panoramic sea views, creating bright and inviting personal spaces from which to enjoy the changing Maldivian scenery.
Wellness lies at the heart of the Scubaspa Yang experience. The impressive 300-square-metre spa includes four treatment rooms, one of which is designed especially for couples. Guests can also enjoy yoga sessions, the onboard gym, outdoor jacuzzi and open-air cinema, while snorkelling excursions and introductory diving experiences provide further ways to explore the islands.
Three buffet-style meals are served daily in the main-deck restaurant, complemented by à la carte choices and live cooking stations. Internationally trained chefs prepare a varied selection of dishes and can accommodate dietary requirements with advance notice. Guests may also dine alfresco at the rear of the main deck, while selected journeys include a memorable barbecue on a deserted island.
Diving takes place from a separate, fully equipped 20-metre dhoni carrying the compressors, Nitrox filling station, rinse tanks, equipment storage and everything required for daily operations. This arrangement provides divers with a spacious floating dive centre while keeping equipment and compressor activity away from the main yacht.
As a PADI Five Star Dive Resort, Scubaspa Yang welcomes divers with different levels of experience. Multilingual instructors and Divemasters provide professional guidance, while courses ranging from introductory programmes to advanced training can be arranged during the journey.
The year-round Best of Maldives itinerary explores the Malé and Ari Atolls together with Rasdhoo and Vaavu, combining coral reefs, channels, pinnacles and opportunities for encounters with the country’s celebrated marine life.
